Congress leaders and various alliance members gathered at Hooda’s residence before moving toward the court, framing the protest as a defense of national democracy. Hooda emphasized that the movement is not merely a symbolic gesture but a sustained campaign against what he characterizes as clear discrepancies within the Election Commission. The participants argue that the current leadership has lost the moral authority to oversee electoral processes.
Congress MP Jebi Mather echoed this sentiment, insisting the march transcends party affiliations. She stated that participants are joining as concerned citizens rather than political operatives, aiming to resist external pressures on democratic institutions. By stripping away party, caste, and religious identities, the organizers hope to cast the demonstration as a universal call to protect the country's voting mechanisms from administrative bias.
