Referencing 2024–25 data from the Uttar Pradesh Department of Economics and Statistics, Owaisi highlighted that Azamgarh currently ranks fourth in the state for its impoverished population. He argued that the state leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, prioritizes corporate and political elites while the majority of the electorate grapples with systemic poverty.
Beyond his critique of economic policy, Owaisi reiterated his strategic overture to the Samajwadi Party. During a separate gathering in Shravasti’s Bhinga constituency, he proposed a potential alliance to block the BJP from securing a third consecutive term. He emphasized that this offer was a deliberate political maneuver rather than a sign of weakness, warning the Samajwadi Party that his party possesses significant reach if the collaboration is rejected. Owaisi pledged that his campaign would remain centered on the needs of marginalized communities, specifically Dalits and Muslims, while promising to protect religious institutions and advocate for social justice.
