Nadda characterized the current Congress governance as a cycle of mismanagement that has forced the closure of numerous schools and health institutions across the state. He specifically challenged Sukhu’s recurring claims that New Delhi neglects Himachal Pradesh, arguing that the Modi government has provided unprecedented financial support that the state leadership refuses to acknowledge or facilitate.
The friction centers on critical infrastructure, particularly the expansion of railway connectivity. Nadda highlighted that while the Centre earmarked 2,911 crore rupees this year to extend tracks toward Bilaspur, the state government has stalled the essential land acquisition process for the Bilaspur-to-Beri stretch. He contrasted the current impasse with the tenure of late Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, whom he credited with at least maintaining a vision for regional rail expansion.
Road development remains another flashpoint. The Union Minister pointed to the 368 crore rupees sanctioned for the four-laning project between Kullu and Manali as evidence of the Centre’s commitment to the region. According to Nadda, the state administration acts as a primary impediment to these benchmarks of development, effectively choosing political obstruction over the completion of projects designed to transform the difficult hill terrain's connectivity landscape.
