Dhami opened the festivities by paying tribute at the Martyrs’ and Freedom Fighters’ memorials before inspecting local trade stalls and cultural displays. He emphasized that these gatherings act as a vital bridge, connecting younger generations to their cultural identity while simultaneously fueling the regional economy through the sale of local goods.

Linking the fair’s mission to national trends, the Chief Minister pointed to large-scale infrastructure projects like the Ayodhya Ram temple and the Kashi Corridor as evidence of India’s renewed commitment to its heritage. He noted that this cultural pride mirrors the state's own development trajectory, specifically referencing the master plans for Badrinath and Kedarnath.

The scale of this cultural revival is reflected in the unprecedented numbers for the annual Char Dham Yatra. With approximately 40 days remaining in the season, the pilgrimage has already shattered previous attendance benchmarks. According to official figures, the state has welcomed over 57 lakh visitors, marking a record-breaking influx that highlights Uttarakhand's intensifying role as a global pilgrimage hub.
