Kalka characterized the incident as a calculated attempt to manipulate religious spaces for political gain. He emphasized that gurdwaras serve as sanctuaries for prayer and solace, rather than venues for political theater. According to the DSGMC chief, those with grievances should direct their demonstrations toward the Parliament or the specific entities they oppose, rather than disrupting a place of worship.
Beyond the protest itself, Kalka expressed sharp discomfort regarding the presence of uniformed police officers on the gurdwara grounds. While he confirmed that officers did not enter the Darbar Sahib, he maintained that their movement through the wider complex was intolerable to the Sikh community. The committee is now reviewing CCTV footage to determine how the protesters bypassed security to enter the premises. Kalka warned that the DSGMC would address the security breach strictly, urging social media users and political figures to refrain from exploiting the incident for partisan narratives.
