Suvendu Adhikari argued that the Annapurna Yojana and various pension programs effectively dismantled long-standing misconceptions regarding the party's stance on minority rights. According to Adhikari, 35,000 Muslim women in Rejinagar alone have received aid through the Annapurna scheme, while 22 lakh Muslim beneficiaries are included in the state's old-age and widow pension programs. He asserted that these figures refute opposition claims that a BJP administration would marginalize Bengali-speaking Muslims.
Election data confirms the party's strong position across both constituencies. In Rejinagar, candidate Sakharav Sarkar secured 1,09,834 votes by the 12th round of counting, significantly ahead of Aam Janata Unnayan Party candidate Golam Nabi Azad, who held 37,090 votes. The Nandigram contest shows an even wider gap; after 15 rounds, BJP candidate Hasi Rani Rath leads with 1,64,427 votes, leaving Congress candidate Milind Pradhan trailing with 41,674. Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar described these early results as a clear expression of public trust in the current government's governance model.
