Speaking from a bus en route to Rajghat, Gandhi asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar are responsible for a systemic collapse of the nation’s electoral integrity. The Opposition leader cited alleged internal correspondence from election commissioners as evidence of a failing system, framing the ongoing demonstrations as a quest for justice rather than a short-term political tactic. He pledged that a future change in government would trigger a formal inquiry into those he labeled co-conspirators.
The INDIA bloc’s third consecutive day of demonstrations saw prominent figures, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, gather at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial to demand the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party dismissed the accusations, with national president Nitin Nabin characterizing Gandhi’s rhetoric as evidence of an anarchic mindset and challenging him to resign from his own position.
