Vijayendra directed sharp criticism at Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, dismissing his 'Praja Sevaka' persona as a facade. He labeled the government’s drought relief efforts—specifically a Rs 2,500 compensation package—as an insult to farmers. According to the BJP leader, the administration prioritizes real estate interests over essential irrigation projects like the Upper Krishna Project, opting for ring road construction instead. He further alleged that the current government has abandoned development, leaving state vacancies unfilled and failing to clarify its stance on caste reservation policies established by the previous administration.
Addressing the state’s law and order, Vijayendra held Home Minister Priyank Kharge responsible for an alleged rise in crimes against women and Dalits. He characterized the opposition’s unified protest movement led by Rahul Gandhi as a desperate grasp for power. To counter this, the BJP has launched the 'Booth Sankalpa Yatra,' a grassroots campaign designed to fortify the party’s organization at the booth level ahead of the upcoming Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections.
