State Congress president Jitu Patwari, alongside veteran leader Digvijaya Singh and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, led the rally against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Patwari characterized the current political climate as a form of anarchy, asserting that the party remains committed to safeguarding democratic processes and constitutional rights regardless of the cost.
Singhar escalated the rhetoric by demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, citing unsubstantiated claims of irregularities involving 13 crore votes. He called for an immediate transition from electronic voting machines to traditional paper ballots, drawing a comparison to electoral practices in the United States. Digvijaya Singh emphasized that the party viewed these public demonstrations as a fundamental constitutional duty to represent citizens’ concerns under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.
