Adityanath remarked that Paswan’s influence remains a cornerstone of public life, noting that the late leader’s mission is now being steered by his son, Chirag Paswan. The Chief Minister confirmed that the respect shown to Paswan in Bihar would be echoed in Uttar Pradesh, where the state administration joined in honoring the memory of the veteran politician. Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel also joined the commemorations, affirming that she and her party workers would attend tribute events organized by the Lok Janshakti Party.

The legacy of the former Union Minister, who held the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution portfolio under the Narendra Modi government, was further recognized in Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel paid floral tributes to Paswan, a gesture that Chirag Paswan acknowledged with gratitude on social media. First elected to the Lok Sabha in 1977 from Hajipur, Paswan built a career defined by his advocacy for Dalit and marginalized communities, establishing a political footprint that persisted through multiple NDA administrations.
