Nitin Nabin challenges Rahul Gandhi to resign following EC protest

BJP national president Nitin Nabin launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, calling for the opposition leader's resignation after Gandhi protested against the Election Commission. Nabin, visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, dismissed the Congress leader's concerns while praising the central government's infrastructure initiatives.

Nabin characterized Gandhi’s questioning of the Election Commission as evidence of an “anarchic mindset,” arguing that the same body successfully managed elections in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He further alleged that the Leader of the Opposition is actively working to provide shelter to infiltrators, claiming that such individuals are systematically seizing the rights and resources of Indian citizens. The BJP remains committed to protecting the nation's wealth and land from those he labeled as outsiders, Nabin asserted.

During his visit to Varanasi, Nabin shifted focus to the redevelopment of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which he described as a transformative project for millions of devotees. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for restoring the site to its current grandeur. Addressing the political climate, Nabin insisted that his party operates on a constant, year-round schedule rather than surfacing only during election cycles. He described the efforts of BJP workers as a 24/7 commitment, contrasting their grassroots persistence with the strategies employed by their political rivals.
