Kesavan took to social media to denounce the Leader of the Opposition, questioning whether such behavior aligns with the standards expected of an elected representative. He demanded an immediate apology, contrasting Gandhi’s actions with his public advocacy for gender equality and his frequent calls to "smash the patriarchy." The BJP official framed the incident as a display of "crude and improper conduct" that allegedly undermines the dignity of women serving in security forces.
Beyond the physical altercation, the BJP has expanded its critique to include Gandhi’s broader political strategy. Kesavan alleged that the Congress leader is orchestrating a campaign of "anarchy and chaos" in response to electoral losses. He further dismissed claims that Gandhi had requested an official meeting with the Election Commission, labeling the opposition’s recent protests as a "crooked toolkit" designed to vilify constitutional institutions. According to the BJP, these maneuvers represent a desperate attempt by a failing political faction to play the victim after being unable to secure victory through democratic means.
