Rajnath Singh credits Modi’s 25-year tenure with redefining governance

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, speaking at an event in Ghaziabad, claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not taken a single day of leave during his 25 years in public office. The remarks, delivered during the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, framed Modi’s career as a shift from partisan politics to nation-building.

Singh characterized the Prime Minister’s work ethic as the primary driver behind India’s economic trajectory, noting that the country currently ranks among the world’s top five economies. He asserted that India would have reached the top three had the West Asia crisis not disrupted global stability, while highlighting a 7.4 percent growth rate as evidence of sustained progress. The Defence Minister reiterated the administration's commitment to the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative, aiming for developed nation status.

Beyond economic performance, Singh directed criticism toward opposition parties, accusing them of manufacturing public dissent for electoral gain. He argued that the BJP maintains the moral courage to admit mistakes, contrasting this with what he described as the opposition's reliance on repeated falsehoods. According to Singh, the public remains capable of discerning truth from rhetoric, and the government’s focus remains anchored in long-term development rather than political maneuvering.
