Bhandari claims the video, which surfaced on October 3, was part of a calculated strategy to manufacture a false narrative against constitutional institutions. Delhi Police have since arrested Nadeem Ahmed, a local content creator, for producing the deepfake. According to investigators, Ahmed admitted to using AI tools to create the clip, intending to incite hostility toward law enforcement. Despite the police debunking the footage, Bhandari criticized the Congress leadership for failing to retract social media posts that amplified the claims.
During a press conference, the BJP spokesperson argued that this incident reflects a recurring pattern in which the opposition uses unverified material to undermine state credibility. He challenged Rahul Gandhi to explain the origins of the video and demanded to know whether the Congress IT cell had any role in its production. The dispute emerged amid broader tensions involving protests against the Election Commission, where various groups have contested the ongoing electoral roll revision process. Bhandari asserted that such tactics represent an attempt to bypass democratic processes in favor of what he termed street anarchy.
