Abdul Malik, a 37-year-old from Kharan, was allegedly seized by the Frontier Corps during a 2 a.m. raid on October 2. His whereabouts remain unknown, mirroring the ordeal faced by the family of 27-year-old Asad Baloch. Taken from his home in Turbat on August 18, local sources link his abduction to a state-supported paramilitary unit. Similarly, 18-year-old Mumtaz Baloch has been missing since June 5, with allegations pointing toward the involvement of the Frontier Corps and Military Intelligence.
These incidents are not isolated. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee documented 507 cases of enforced disappearance in the first half of 2026 alone, with Quetta and Kech emerging as the primary epicenters of the crisis. Although Malik Ali Nawaz Baloch was released on October 3 after a brief detention, the rapid succession of new cases underscores a persistent pattern of arbitrary arrests and incommunicado detentions that continue to destabilize the region.
