Patra described the opposition's actions as a desperate, sponsored attempt to dismantle democratic norms following repeated electoral failures. He alleged that the Congress and its allies have pivoted toward creating anarchy as a primary strategy to force a change in power. According to the BJP leader, this campaign against institutional credibility has been in motion for years, consistently prioritizing Gandhi’s political trajectory over democratic stability.
The rhetoric sharpened over Gandhi’s recent commentary regarding a Supreme Court hearing on Form 6. Patra rejected Gandhi’s assertions that the Court had declared the form illegal, labeling the claim a deliberate falsehood. He pointed to official clarifications from the Election Commission confirming that no such changes to Form 6 were implemented. Furthermore, Patra countered claims of internal dissent within the poll panel, citing a fact-check that affirmed the unanimity of the Commission's decisions regarding Bihar’s SIR order. He demanded that the Leader of the Opposition be held accountable for allegedly spreading misinformation to undermine constitutional bodies.
