The report highlights a shift toward economic diversification, particularly through support for 270 businesses and 50,000 farmers who adopted climate-resilient technologies. In Cabinda province alone, 602 field schools provided training for 53,000 farmers, strengthening the agricultural sector that accounted for 23.06% of the national GDP in 2025. Educational initiatives further complemented these efforts, funding 161 postgraduate scholarships and enabling 1,204 girls to pursue STEM studies.
Looking toward the next phase, the partnership will prioritize the $211.4 million Eastern Angola Agricultural Value Chain Development Project and the $125 million Crescer youth employment program. Officials also plan to commit $500 million to the Lobito Corridor to improve regional connectivity. According to Pietro Toigo, the Bank’s Country Manager, these investments are designed to build on proven successes in infrastructure and human capital, ensuring that future spending aligns with the National Development Plan 2023–2027.
