Leavitt, who at 28 became the youngest person to hold the press secretary role, previously cultivated a reputation for an aggressive communications strategy that bypassed traditional media in favor of influencers and content creators. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott cited Leavitt’s distinct understanding of the current political landscape as a key asset for the network’s commentary and analysis team.
Since her departure in late August, the White House has ceased holding regular press briefings, and President Trump has yet to name a successor. Her transition to television follows a tenure marked by heightened friction between the administration and major news outlets, including legal battles over press access to the White House.
