BJP-NDA closes Nagaon campaign with coordinated grassroots push

Across 2,309 polling booths, thousands of BJP and NDA supporters marched in synchronized padyatras on the final day of the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election. The massive mobilization served as a final display of organizational reach, aimed at converting weeks of grassroots campaigning into a decisive mandate for candidate Debashish Sharma.

The final hours of the campaign saw a decentralized show of force, with party workers carrying saffron flags through every corner of the constituency. Senior leadership fanned out to maintain momentum: state president Dilip Saikia joined ministers in Raha, while candidate Debashish Sharma campaigned in Mairabari. The outreach efforts also targeted specific demographics, including a youth-focused bike rally led by MLA Rupak Sarma and targeted public meetings in Lahorighat and Jagiroad held by Minister Pijush Hazarika.

Party officials emphasized that the scale of these walkathons underscores the efficiency of their booth-level network. By saturating the constituency simultaneously, the alliance sought to project both organizational discipline and broad public appeal. As the silence period begins, the coalition is banking on this high-visibility closing strategy to consolidate support for Sharma in the upcoming vote.
