Following his formal appointment by the AICC, Singh has focused on securing institutional and personal support. Before returning to Punjab to assume his duties, he visited the Delhi residence of Gursharan Kaur to seek the blessings of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s family. During the visit, Singh praised the former Prime Minister’s legacy of integrity and expressed concern over the current state of national institutions. He plans to meet with Rahul Gandhi shortly to finalize the party's strategic direction for the state.
