Bajwa met with local leadership at the home of former MLA Pawan Adia, using the stopover to solidify the party’s stance following the appointment of Pargat Singh as the new Punjab Congress President. He maintained that the high command’s choice holds the full support of the rank and file, effectively dismissing speculation regarding factionalism. According to Bajwa, the focus remains entirely on dismantling the Aam Aadmi Party’s governance, which he characterized as a systematic looting of the state under Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.
Beyond provincial concerns, Bajwa echoed national party rhetoric regarding the integrity of the electoral process. He signaled that a future Congress government would seek accountability for alleged irregularities in vote management across states like West Bengal and Haryana, specifically naming Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar as a target for investigation. While maintaining a combative stance on state politics, Bajwa briefly shifted tone to celebrate the Indian cricket team’s recent victory, praising the nation's youth for their contribution on the global stage.
