Tejashwi Yadav Alleges Electoral Fraud as INDIA Bloc Plans Protest

Yadav’s accusations focus on the appointment of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging that rule changes were specifically engineered to shield him from legal scrutiny. He argued that the current electoral process is subservient to the directives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Beyond national concerns, the RJD leader criticized the state administration for selective application of the law, citing a specific case in Jamui where he claimed Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary bypassed protections under the POCSO Act without consequence.

The INDIA alliance responded with a unified strategy to challenge these perceived institutional failures. CPI(M) MP John Brittas confirmed that opposition members plan a collective march from Parliament to the Election Commission on October 6. The bloc intends to pursue legal action through the Supreme Court and seek a formal audience with the President of India. While Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized that the alliance remains united in its resolve to protect democratic institutions, the BJP has dismissed the entire grouping as politically irrelevant. Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar characterized the coalition as a mere vehicle to promote Rahul Gandhi, while Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa argued that the opposition's lack of internal trust ensures the inevitable failure of their collaborative efforts.
