Congress leader KC Venugopal announced that the alliance has formalized a series of non-negotiable demands, including a return to pre-SIR electoral rolls and a transition away from EVMs toward traditional ballot papers. To amplify these demands, the bloc has scheduled a week of 'Save Democracy' marches across every district from October 2 to 8, culminating in a protest march to the ECI headquarters on October 6. Further escalation includes a planned meeting with the President in mid-October and five major regional rallies, with a flagship demonstration set for November 1 in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi has specifically challenged the legal protections afforded to the CEC, questioning the existence of lifelong immunity for the post. Venugopal stated that the coalition views this struggle as a defense of the Constitution, intending to pursue pending litigation in the Supreme Court to force an early resolution on electoral exclusion cases.
