Telangana families plead for rescue of men forced into Russian military

Abbaskhan, whose son Afzal Khan is among those trapped, described a harrowing sequence of events. After initially securing legitimate work, the men were allegedly coerced by a contact identified as Krishan into signing military contracts under the guise of higher-paying labor. The families report that the men—Afzal Khan, Ravinder, Ashok, and Prakash—are currently being subjected to physical abuse and forced to carry explosives through dangerous jungle terrain while under active fire.

"My son called us and was crying," Abbaskhan said, detailing the desperation of their situation. The families have now turned to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, pleading for diplomatic intervention to secure their sons' release and safe return to India. The recruitment scheme reportedly originated with an agent named Gangadhar from Dubbaka, who arranged the initial travel for the youths from the Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts.
