YSRCP Accuses Naidu Administration of Dismantling Secretariat Network

Raja alleges that the current government views the Secretariat system with resentment, viewing it as a lingering legacy of the previous administration. According to the former MLA, the state is now operating under a 'Red Book Constitution' rather than following constitutional mandates. He highlighted that GO No. 11 has imposed unsustainable workloads, forcing staff to attend midnight video conferences and labor through public holidays, which he blames for a spike in health crises among the workforce.

Contrasting the current approach with the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy era, Raja pointed out that the previous government regularized 1.15 lakh employees and established a basic pay of Rs. 22,460 under the 2022 PRC. In comparison, he claims the current coalition has regularized only 4,000 to 5,000 workers. The YSRCP leader also condemned the police treatment of female protesters, describing instances where employees were handled aggressively during demonstrations. He demanded immediate reforms, including clear promotion channels, the removal of pension-distribution duties, and a reduction in excessive work hours to prevent further physical exhaustion and stress-related fatalities among civil servants.
