YSRCP Spokesperson Denounces Media Insults Against State Employees

Siva Shankar challenged the courage of television commentators, questioning if they would dare repeat such derogatory descriptions to the faces of the employees they demean. Many of these workers hold advanced degrees in engineering and technology, a reality he argues makes the labels both offensive and disconnected from the service these individuals provide to the state. He further pressed the issue of whether these same media outlets intend to apply such labels to major employees’ associations currently voicing their own grievances against the coalition government.

Demanding formal legal consequences for the outlets involved, the party representative called on the administration to resolve the employees' underlying demands rather than resorting to criminalizing dissent. The YSRCP also seized the occasion of Gurram Jashuva’s and Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversaries to frame the government’s treatment of staff as part of a broader pattern of discrimination. Party leaders asserted that the current administration is failing to protect marginalized communities, contrasting the present security environment with the social welfare priorities established under former president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
