Nitin Nabin pivots BJP strategy to youth-led entrepreneurship in Bengal

Nabin’s two-day visit to West Bengal centered on reclaiming the state’s cultural and sporting identity, which he argued has been neglected in the digital age. He attributed this decline to the pervasive use of mobile phones, which he claims has replaced physical activity on playing fields. According to the BJP leader, the state is currently undergoing a transition from an environment of fear to one of trust, providing a necessary foundation for economic and social revitalization.

Highlighting the success of national initiatives, Nabin pointed to the 250,000 startups and 125 unicorns established under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as a model for West Bengal’s youth. He also dismissed criticism from former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the Election Commission’s electoral roll revisions, labeling her concerns as a sign of political frustration. Nabin asserted that the state’s path forward lies in fulfilling the promises outlined in the BJP manifesto, specifically praising the work of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari in implementing these goals.
