Gorantla Madhav Accuses Andhra Pradesh Coalition of Job Betrayal

Madhav challenged the administration to reconcile the current recruitment figures with the official vacancy count reported in the Assembly last December. He contrasted the current move with the previous YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, which initiated the hiring process for over 6,500 police personnel. According to Madhav, the current government is attempting to claim credit for those recruits, who are currently completing training, while ignoring its own campaign pledge to generate 20 lakh jobs.

The critique extended to the administration’s handling of age requirements for applicants. While Nara Lokesh campaigned for a five-year age relaxation for police candidates while in opposition, the current notification maintains a strict limit of 18 to 23 years. Madhav noted that the previous administration had implemented a two-year extension to assist applicants, a measure now conspicuously absent. He further condemned the filing of cases against unemployed protesters, demanding that the government shield peaceful dissent and insulate the police force from political interference instead of stifling those seeking employment opportunities in the state.
