BJP leaders honor Deendayal Upadhyaya’s 110th birth anniversary

MP Bansuri Swaraj described the late thinker as a guiding light, asserting that the principle of 'Antyodaya'—or serving the last person in line—remains the bedrock of Prime Minister Modi’s administration. Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra traced the party’s evolution from its roots as the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, where Upadhyaya served as General Secretary from 1951 to 1968, to its current status as a global political force. He credited Upadhyaya’s 'Ekatma Manav Darshan' with providing the ideological consistency necessary for the party's growth.

Expanding the scope of the tribute, MP Manoj Tiwari suggested that Upadhyaya’s teachings offer a blueprint for addressing contemporary crises, including terrorism and climate change. He drew a historical parallel between the leader and the regional history of the Braj region, arguing that the vision of self-reliance and social justice championed by Upadhyaya transcends borders. Born in 1916, Upadhyaya was a key RSS thinker who founded publications like 'Rashtra Dharma' before his death in 1968. His legacy remains a central pillar of the party's mission to realize a 'Viksit Bharat'.
