Pathak and Yadav Trade Barbs Over Ayodhya Development

Brajesh Pathak dismissed recent criticisms from the opposition, arguing that the previous Samajwadi Party administration ignored Ayodhya’s potential and lacked any meaningful commitment to Sanatan culture. Speaking in Sant Kabir Nagar, he challenged his political rivals to produce evidence of their past investments in the region, contrasting their record with the current BJP-led initiative to transform Ayodhya into a global heritage city under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Akhilesh Yadav countered with a scathing assessment of the current administration’s methods. He alleged that the government’s infrastructure projects, specifically the Ram Path construction, have functioned as a pretext for land scams and the forced demolition of local homes. Yadav asserted that residents face displacement without adequate compensation or notice, characterizing the state’s approach as a display of cruelty. He cited the recent Lok Sabha election results in Ayodhya as a direct consequence of this voter dissatisfaction, claiming that local farmers and residents have unified against the BJP to seek redress for the destruction of their livelihoods.
