Bihar Officials Clash Over Jamui Molestation Case Response

Bihar Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha dismissed fears of a return to "jungle raj," pledging that the administration would enforce the rule of law without exception. Speaking in Patna, Sinha emphasized that the government remains focused on dismantling criminal mindsets through character-building initiatives, aiming to curb the cycle of violence that has historically plagued the region.

Simultaneously, the investigation has intensified as police registered cases under the BNS and POCSO Act, detaining three minors and arresting suspects Kundan Kumar, Faiyaz, and Ramashish Kumar. Authorities have also moved to suppress the spread of the incident online, filing an FIR against approximately 120 social media profiles for circulating footage that identifies the minor victim. The National Commission for Women has initiated its own inquiry into the handling of the case, while police teams continue raids to locate remaining suspects.
