Abhishek Banerjee demands arrest of CEC over voter roll allegations

Internal discord within the Election Commission appears to mirror these public criticisms. Reports indicate that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi have registered at least 14 formal objections over the past ten months regarding decisions and orders issued without their collective participation. Banerjee leveraged these reports to bolster his call for a formal investigation into the commission’s leadership, framing the situation as a direct threat to democratic integrity.
