Kejriwal demands arrest of CEC over alleged electoral manipulation

Kejriwal claims that the Election Commission, intended to function as a consensus-based three-member body, has been effectively hijacked. He alleges that Kumar bypassed fellow commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi to issue unilateral directives to subordinate staff. The core of the controversy centers on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, which resulted in the removal of 13 crore voters. Kejriwal characterizes this purge as illegal, asserting that the authority of local Electoral Registration Officers was usurped by officials at the commission's headquarters. He insists on rolling back the voter lists to their status from three years ago and scrapping recent revisions to Form 6, labeling the situation the largest scandal in independent India. The AAP plans to rally opposition parties to protest these procedural changes.
