Election Commission Notices Target Kejriwal’s Family in Delhi Roll Revision

The notices concern 110 voters within the KG Marg area of the New Delhi Assembly constituency, including five members of the Kejriwal family. While Arvind Kejriwal remains a registered voter in the New Delhi-40 constituency, his status—and that of his family—was flagged as unmapped following house-to-house verification by Booth Level Officers. The Aam Aadmi Party publicly challenged the Election Commission of India on social media, demanding to know how a three-time Chief Minister and his household could disappear from the active voter registry.

Election officials maintain that the exclusion of a name from the draft electoral roll, published August 31, does not equate to a final determination of ineligibility. The Electoral Registration Officer for New Delhi clarified that the current revision aims to clean the rolls by removing ineligible entries, a process that saw over 4.7 million names deleted across the capital. Affected citizens, including the Kejriwal family, have until September 30 to submit Form 6 to contest these omissions and verify their electoral status.
