Fire Halts Production at Slovak Ammunition Plant

Construction crews working on the roof of a Czechoslovak Group facility in Snina triggered a blaze on Wednesday, forcing a temporary shutdown of the plant. While the fire disrupted operations at the ZVS Holding site, the company confirmed that the incident caused no injuries to personnel or onsite staff.

The facility, a joint venture between CSG’s MSM unit and the Slovak government, focuses exclusively on manufacturing artillery ammunition bodies rather than handling finished explosive ordnance. Because the plant does not process volatile materials, the fire remained localized to the roof structure undergoing reconstruction.

CSG officials stated that the supply chain remains stable despite the pause in Snina. The company is currently rerouting production orders to other facilities to ensure customer delivery timelines are met without interruption. Authorities are investigating the incident as an accidental byproduct of the ongoing renovation work.
