Airstrikes in Northern Gaza Leave Three Dead Amid Stalled Ceasefire

A patient at a medical facility and a child were among three Palestinians killed Tuesday during a series of Israeli airstrikes in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. The violence, which also left seven others wounded, unfolded as witnesses reported a secondary strike targeting civilians who had gathered to assist the initial victims.

The Israeli military confirmed targeting a militant in the area, though officials provided no further details regarding the civilian casualties. Medical Aid for Palestinians later verified that a patient at one of its supported facilities died following an attack by an Israeli quadcopter drone. Israel has not yet addressed the specific circumstances of that death.

These fatalities occur against a backdrop of mounting frustration regarding the 2025 U.S.-backed ceasefire, which has failed to curb recurring hostilities. Hamas continues to hold Israel responsible for breaching the agreement, while Israeli officials contend that Hamas’s actions have systematically dismantled prospects for a lasting peace. Funerals for victims of earlier strikes were held throughout the day, underscoring the deepening cycle of violence in the region.
