Ukrainian Drone Barrage Targets Russian Industrial Sites

Over two hundred Ukrainian drones swarmed across more than a dozen Russian regions in a massive overnight offensive, striking deep into the country's industrial heartland. From the Samara region to the Rostov border, local authorities scrambled to assess the wreckage left by the sprawling aerial assault on commercial and residential infrastructure.

Regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev acknowledged the strikes on industrial facilities within the Samara region, though he stopped short of detailing the extent of the damage. In Togliatti, the situation turned personal for civilians; mayor Ilya Sukhikh reported that falling debris shattered residential buildings, leaving at least one person wounded.

The scale of the operation was vast, with the Russian Defence Ministry claiming its air defenses intercepted 230 drones across multiple territories, including Crimea and the maritime corridors of the Azov and Black seas. Further south, the impact was visible in Taganrog. Mayor Svetlana Kambulova confirmed that four commercial properties were set ablaze, marking a significant escalation in the reach of the strikes as regional officials struggle to contain the fallout from the widespread drone activity.
