BRS Challenges Telangana Government Over Alleged Police Assault

Tensions escalated in the Telangana Assembly on Tuesday as Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao filed an adjournment motion to protest the alleged police assault on party legislators. The opposition party is now demanding an immediate official response from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the violent confrontation.

The motion, submitted under Rule 63, seeks to prioritize a debate on the conduct of law enforcement during the previous day’s events. Rama Rao specifically accused the administration of orchestrating attacks against female BRS representatives, framing the issue as a critical failure of state accountability.

Beyond the assembly floor, the unrest has spilled into the streets. Supporters gathered outside the Narayanguda Police Station to pressure authorities for the release of MLCs Thatha Madhusudan and Naveen Kumar Reddy, who remain in custody following the clashes.
