The company has already signaled that other German sites remain at risk unless they can reinvent their purpose.

Aurelius Capital plans to pivot the facility toward high-tech sectors, specifically cybersecurity, satellite systems, and drone technology. Central to this industrial makeover is a proposed partnership with Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. By integrating Rafael’s missile defense expertise, the project seeks to capitalize on the continent’s swelling defense budgets, effectively repurposing idle automotive lines for a changing geopolitical climate.
