Yogi Adityanath targets Saifai syndicate in Farrukhabad recruitment push

Before 2017, a "Saifai syndicate" held a stranglehold on Uttar Pradesh government hiring, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Speaking in Farrukhabad, the Chief Minister claimed his administration ended this era of bias, promising that any future attempts to compromise the prospects of state youth will lead to imprisonment and property seizure.

Adityanath’s remarks arrived during a relief distribution event for flood-affected families. He contrasted current hiring practices with the previous Samajwadi Party tenure, asserting that state jobs are now awarded entirely on merit. To bolster these claims, the Chief Minister pointed toward state-led initiatives like the CM Yuva Udyami Scheme and the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Coaching facility as evidence of a renewed focus on youth self-reliance.

Beyond employment policy, the visit addressed the immediate crisis of rising water levels in the Ganga. With the river crossing the warning threshold at Varanasi’s Rajghat site, Adityanath pledged a comprehensive state response. This includes not only immediate relief and rehabilitation for human populations but also specific veterinary support, such as vaccinations and fodder, to protect livestock in inundated regions.
