Stalin characterized the current government as being in reverse gear, contrasting its current output with the previous DMK administration. He argued that the administration has failed to launch a single original scheme since taking office, instead oscillating between rebranding legacy projects and abandoning them entirely. The critique focused heavily on the Chief Minister's management of the police portfolio, with Stalin citing the unprecedented lockdown of Chennai’s Marina Beach during student protests as evidence of a shift toward repression.
The Opposition leader further alleged a partisan application of the law, noting that while critics of the government face immediate legal action, similar remarks from BJP figures go unaddressed. Beyond the legislative deadlock, Stalin accused the TVK leadership of prioritizing social media optics over governance, claiming the administration remains preoccupied with promoting digital content while the state’s public safety metrics continue to decline.
