The minister’s pointed X post challenged Ashoka to explain why his own son has not adopted the RSS 'Ganavesha' uniform or taken up the organization’s traditional practices. By framing these personal queries as a litmus test for Ashoka’s ideological commitment, Kharge sought to undermine the opposition leader’s recent attempts to cast him as obsessed with the RSS. Ashoka previously ridiculed the minister, suggesting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah create a specific 'RSS portfolio' to accommodate Kharge’s fixation.
Beyond the ideological sparring, Kharge pivoted to allegations of systemic corruption, demanding answers regarding the recruitment irregularities within the Karnataka Public Service Commission. He specifically pressed Ashoka to address the roles of Shivashankarappa Sahukar and Basavaraj Kannale, questioning the financial exchanges allegedly involved in the appointment of KPSC members and its chairman. This escalation follows Kharge’s earlier open letter to the RSS, in which he demanded greater transparency regarding the organization’s legal status and constitutional accountability.
