BJP Karnataka Chief Launches 10-Day Protest March Against Congress

Standing before the Sri Amareshwara Temple in Lingasugur, BJP Karnataka President BY Vijayendra declared a relentless campaign against the ruling Congress administration. The launch of a 10-day padyatra signals the start of a broader push to dismantle the current government, which the party describes as both corrupt and ineffective.

The march, scheduled to conclude in Ballari on September 10, serves as a rallying point for opposition leaders, including former Chief Ministers BS Yediyurappa, Basavaraj Bommai, and Jagadish Shettar. While the physical trek spans ten days, Vijayendra insists the political confrontation will persist long after the final steps are taken. He frames the movement as a response to the government's perceived neglect of drought management and a failure to fill 2.5 lakh vacant state positions.

Vijayendra views this mobilization as a catalyst for a new era for the BJP in Karnataka, pointing to the recent resignation of former minister B Nagendra as evidence that opposition pressure is yielding results. The party aims to use the next two years to aggressively campaign on the government's alleged failures, setting the stage for a potential return to power for the NDA alliance in the state.
