Jagan Mohan Reddy rallies YSRCP for local body polls

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered YSRCP members to aggressively contest upcoming local body elections, claiming public disillusionment with the ruling coalition. He framed the local ballot as a critical testing ground for the party’s long-term resurgence against the administration of Chandrababu Naidu.

Reddy urged his party cadre to secure every constituency seat, explicitly warning against allowing the Telugu Desam Party to secure unanimous victories. He characterized the current coalition government as a failure across all governance fronts, insisting that voter dissatisfaction would translate into a decisive win if the election process remains free from manipulation. To facilitate this, the party plans to deploy QR-coded identification for village-level workers and intensify outreach through district-level meetings.

Addressing MLA aspirants and local leaders, Reddy demanded a door-to-door campaign to highlight the perceived policy failures of the government. He emphasized that the party’s legal cell must document instances of harassment or police misconduct to ensure accountability. Furthermore, he mandated full adoption of the Jagan 2.0 digital platform, warning that any internal ego or lack of social media engagement would be treated as unacceptable. Leaders are now required to maintain a constant presence in their respective constituencies over the next two months to solidify this ground effort.
