Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha confirmed that 29 victims remain in serious condition, including five children currently fighting for their lives. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy condemned the attack as a deliberate act of malice, citing the timing of the secondary strike as evidence of a strategy designed to maximize fatalities among first responders.
This tragedy follows a separate ballistic missile strike on Kyiv that claimed 17 lives, further straining a nation already reeling from constant aerial bombardment. In retaliation, Ukraine has intensified its efforts to cripple Russian logistics and oil infrastructure, signaling a widening scope of the conflict as both sides escalate their targeting of civilian and strategic assets.
