The bond, which matures on 26 August 2036, was priced at 99.431%. This yield sits 4.8 basis points above comparable United States Treasury notes. ADB Treasurer Tobias Hoschka noted that the robust demand underscores sustained market confidence in the bank’s financial stability and its broader development mandate.
Global participation remained geographically diverse, with investors in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa claiming 54% of the issue. The Americas followed with 28%, while Asian markets accounted for 18%. Central banks and official institutions emerged as the primary buyers, absorbing 44% of the allocation, followed by commercial banks at 33% and fund managers at 23%.
BMO Capital Markets, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, and Nomura managed the transaction. This raise serves as a cornerstone of the bank's 2026 strategy, which anticipates total borrowing between $39 billion and $45 billion to fund sustainable growth initiatives throughout its member countries.
