Sandeep Dikshit Questions AAP Corruption Allegations Amid Arrests

The detention of former Delhi Water Minister Satyendar Kumar Jain has triggered a sharp rebuke from senior Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, who warned that a cycle of unverified corruption claims risks eroding public trust, likening the current political environment to the fable of the boy who cried wolf.

Dikshit pointed to persistent financial inconsistencies within Delhi's infrastructure projects, particularly regarding inflated contracts and substandard specifications in sewage treatment initiatives. He cautioned that while some accusations may eventually lead to legal clarity, the repetitive nature of these claims undermines the credibility of legitimate inquiries. According to Dikshit, individuals previously cleared by the courts were often targets of baseless political maneuvering.

Simultaneously, the arrest has deepened the rift between the Aam Aadmi Party and the central government. Arvind Kejriwal accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of orchestrating the Anti-Corruption Branch’s actions against Jain for political leverage. This narrative of victimhood faces internal pressure as well; former AAP MP Swati Maliwal publicly alleged that Kejriwal is operating a systemic corruption scheme, claiming he has redirected illicit activities from Delhi to Punjab while using his ministerial position to shield himself from accountability.
