The energy sector, however, remains constrained by shifting fundamentals. Commercial crude inventories hit their highest levels since early 2023, while OPEC revised its 2026 demand forecast downward. These indicators suggest that market participants are prioritizing domestic production data and consumption trends over the ongoing stalemate in Iran, despite the persistent threat of regional instability affecting global trade routes.
