Raghubar Das Threatens Hunger Strike Over JPSC-JSCC Protests

Standing amidst the JPSC-JSCC aspirants at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das issued an ultimatum to the Hemant Soren administration. The BJP leader accused state officials of using coercive tactics against protesters and demanded an immediate CBI probe into the ongoing recruitment controversy.

Das characterized the government’s approach as a deliberate attempt to break the morale of young demonstrators. His address focused on the accountability of administrative officers, reminding them that their professional standing remains tied to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government of India. He warned bureaucrats that their current positions, funded by Jharkhand taxpayers, do not exempt them from future scrutiny regarding their handling of the agitation.

Beyond the critique of state methods, Das set a seven-day deadline for his demands. He is calling for financial compensation for the families of affected aspirants alongside a formal investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Should the administration fail to comply, the former Chief Minister has vowed to initiate a hunger strike to force a resolution to the standoff.
