Vice President Leads Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally in Delhi

Under the morning sun at Bharat Mandapam, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan revved the engine of national sentiment on Wednesday, flagging off a massive motorcycle rally. Accompanied by a fleet of NDA lawmakers, the procession wound through the capital toward Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, marking a high-profile push for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Addressing the crowd before the ride, Radhakrishnan framed the various bike rallies and cultural events not as mere spectacles, but as a cohesive expression of national belonging. He urged participants to carry the momentum beyond the ceremonial route, suggesting that the display of the Tricolour serves as a catalyst for deeper civic commitment. The event also served as a moment of historical reflection, with the Vice President honoring Pingali Venkayya, the flag’s designer, and Hansa Mehta for her role in presenting the first national flag to Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

Legislators in attendance leaned into the symbolic weight of the initiative. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai described the flag as a vessel for Indian identity, noting it remains more precious than life itself. Meanwhile, BJP MP Tarun Chugh pointed to the visible energy of the youth participants as evidence of a collective drive toward a developed India. This rally acts as a centerpiece for the broader nationwide campaign, intended to centralize the national flag as the primary emblem of Independence Day celebrations.
